How often should I have
an eye examination?

An eye examination should be scheduled for roughly
every 3 years
.
However if your vision is changing at a more rapid rate or our optometrist is monitoring any particular eye health condition we would recommend that you return more frequently.

We recommend that children return every year since their
vision change more rapid pace than that of an adult.

This is particularly important for people with macula
degeneration
or glaucoma or for those with systemic health conditions such as diabetes.

Prevention is better than any cure and many eye conditions
can be treated if picked up early.

We always have emergency spots reserved for people who
develop an acute red eye or experience a sudden drop in vision.
In such cases we can facilitate a speedy referral to an
ophthalmologist should this be required.
